Rummy is a card game that is played with two decks of cards with total of two Jokers. To win the rummy game a player must make a valid declaration by picking and discarding cards from the two piles given. One pile is a closed deck, where a player is unable to see the card that he is picking, while the other is an open deck that is formed by the cards discarded by the players. Runs:
Consecutive sequences of three or more cards of the same suit
Sets (or books): Three or four cards of the same rank. If you are using two decks, a set may include two identical cards of the same rank and suit.

- Each player receives a certain number of cards from the deck. According to the rules of rummy, 2 people play, or 3 people play rummy, each person is dealt 10 cards. The same goes for 4 players. When playing with five players, each player is dealt six cards. If there are more than five players, two decks of cards and a hand of seven cards must be used. A two-player game can also be played with seven cards per person.
- A scorekeeper and dealer are designated at the beginning of the game. Then, after the dealer has dealt the hand of cards, he places the undealt cards face down in the center of the table as the reserve cards, and turns the top card over and places it next to the reserve cards as the first card of the discard pile.
- The player to the left of the dealer plays first. They can pick up the card on the discard pile or the top card in their inventory. If they can fuse some cards, combining them into decks or decks (as mentioned above), they can put them on the table. If not, they discard a card from their hand, place it face up on the discard pile, and it’s the next player’s turn.
- The next player can pick up the last card discarded by the previous player, or they can pick up the top card in their inventory. They can then combine some or all of the cards and combine them.
